True or False FAQs

Does wrapping my vehicle damage the original paint?

No! Vehicle wraps provide an added layer of protection for your car’s original paint against UV rays, minor scratches, and weather exposure. However, it’s important to note that wraps won’t protect against normal wear and tear, such as rock chips or dents from road debris. That said, they can help preserve the factory finish underneath and keep your car looking great! Referred to as PPF (Paint Protection Film) it does protect your vehicle.

When a wrap is removed it will affect my original paint.

False, a wrap can be safely removed without impacting your original paint. However, this is provided it was in good condition prior to installation. Our wraps are designed to be removable. When installed by trained professionals, they leave no residue or damage behind. In fact, a wrap can help protect your paint from UV rays and minor abrasions. If you’re considering a wrap removal, contact us to ensure it’s done correctly!

Can’t I remove the wrap myself, or do I need a professional?

While it’s possible to remove a wrap yourself, we don’t recommend it. Professional removal is the only way to go. This will help avoid damaging the paint or leaving adhesive residue. Our team ensures a clean and safe removal process.

Cargo Van Wraps FAQs

How much does a cargo van wrap cost in San Antonio?

The cost of wrapping a cargo van depends on the vehicle’s size, roof height, amount of coverage, design complexity, vinyl selection, surface condition, and installation requirements. A compact cargo van, partial wrap, high-roof van, and extended commercial van will each have different pricing. Contact MC Wraps for a quote based on your specific vehicle.

Is a full or partial van wrap better?

A full wrap provides maximum coverage and the greatest visual impact. A partial wrap uses the vehicle’s existing color as part of the design and may be a better fit for certain budgets or branding styles. Both options can be highly effective when professionally designed.

Can MC Wraps match the same design across an entire fleet?

Yes. A fleet design can be adapted to work across different vans, trucks, trailers, cars, and other commercial vehicles while maintaining consistent branding.

What should be included on a company van wrap?

Most business van wraps should include a recognizable logo, primary service, phone number, website, and a simple call to action. Additional information should only be included when it can remain clear and readable from a distance.

Maintenance FAQs

Can I wash my car after it’s wrapped?

Yes! However, we recommend letting the wrap rest and cure in the sun for a few days before washing to ensure proper adhesion. After that, hand washing is ideal to maintain the wrap’s quality and longevity. Avoid pressure washing or abrasive brushes that could damage the vinyl.

What are the care instructions for maintaining my wrap?

We recommend hand washing your wrapped vehicle with a gentle detergent and a microfiber cloth. Avoid automatic car washes with brushes, as they can scratch or lift the edges of the wrap. For stubborn stains or dirt, we can provide guidance or professional cleaning services.

Where to Start FAQs

Do you offer mobile wrap services, or do I need to bring my vehicle to your location?

How can I get a quote for my vehicle wrap?

The cost of a wrap depends on the type of vehicle—whether it’s a car, truck, boat, motorcycle, RV, trailer, bus, SUV, van, or an entire fleet—as well as the complexity of the design. We tailor each quote to fit the specific vehicle and design you have in mind. To get an accurate quote, feel free to reach out with your vehicle type and any design details, and we’ll be happy to provide an estimate!

How long does a wrap installation process take?

The installation time for a vehicle wrap depends on the type of vehicle and the complexity of the design. For a simple solid color wrap on a car, the entire process typically takes about a week. However, for larger vehicles like a tractor trailer/semi or horse trailer with custom graphic designs, it may take up to two – three weeks to complete. Each project is unique and once we determine exactly what you want and on which vehicles, we can provide a more precise timeline to you.
